2005 Club Closed Tournament

Parenthood obviously agrees with Clare Hudson. Just twelve weeks after giving birth to her second child she has taken both the Women’s singles title and – with partner Dory Crellin – the Women’s doubles title at Truro Tennis Club’s Annual Tournament.

In a further twist – one of her opponents in the doubles final was her mother, Gail Fraser.

Youth also triumphed over experience in the Men’s doubles. Matt Roberts and Perran Trewhela (combined age 37 years) beat Alan Pritchard and Dave Still (combined age 115 years). It was a clean sweep for Matt, who also won the Men’s singles.
