Truro Lawn Tennis Club Quiz Night

The quiz night was held in the club house in the evening of 23 June 2006. The forty tickets were sold out days before the event! Our 'firm but fair' quizmaster for the evening was Sue Hall assisted by chief scorer Mark Stubbs. Ten tables of four battled through the quiz categories; Food and Drink, Answers start with a 'T', The Animal World, Geography, Celebrity faces and the mind blowing 'Dingbats! Mark's music quiz proved easier for some than for others!

Apart from a short break to devour the delicious buffet contestants had little time to relax as the pace was fast but fun. Free beers or softies were won by those giving the correct answer to spot questions fired at names pulled from a hat. The 'booby prize' of 4 cornish pixey (to bring better luck for next time) tea towels were taken home unused thanks to Helen Wright's magnificent efforts in the kitchen throughout the evening.

Congratulations to long time members Anne and David Pollard and new member Carolyn Waters and her husband who formed the winning team scooping the first prize of four bottles of Taittinger French champagne!
